PCEF's Annual Giving Campaign is underway!
thE mission of pcef is to encourage educational opportunities through community collaboration.
The Person County Education Foundation is dedicated to serving students in grades K-12 in traditional and charter public schools of Person County, North Carolina. PCEF is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization under Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3) and has been granted public charity status. Although originally established in 1988, PCEF faced a need to reorganize in 2012.
PCEF is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of community and business leaders. Our organization is dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for our Person County public school students through community collaboration. We strive to work year-round to provide resources and enrichment programs in public schools by partnering with the community. We rely on community support to positively impact the lives of our students.
At this time, PCEF focus areas consist of:
Cultural Arts Opportunities,
Field Trip "Experience" Grants,
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Enrichment, and
Teacher and Student Recognition.
PCEF awards four scholarships to graduating seniors:
The W. O. Humphries Family Scholarship,

The Sarah Elizabeth Morton "Teach In Person" Scholarship, and
The Merle S. and Jean H. Solomon Scholarship.
